Youth Development meeting

Youth Training Strategies

The newly-appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary (I) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Sabah, Tuan Haji Awang Damit Awang Anak chairs a recent meeting with officers of the Youth Development Section. Also present were trainers from the eight district centres where the Ministry is conducting seamstress/tailoring courses involving 133 trainees with ages between 18 to 35 years.

Mesti berani dan rajin berusaha

"Mestilah berani dan rajin berusaha." Itulah nasihat yang ringkas tetapi penuh makna daripada Puan Rozaline Adeline Peter, seorang graduan Kursus Asas Menjahit KBSS 1996. Beliau adalah seorang usahawan yang berjaya dan kini menjalankan perniagaan menjahit GLOBE TAILOR di Grand Plaza Putatan.

Pn. Rozaline, berumur 35 tahun berasal daripada Kg. Tampasak, Kinarut Sabah, mengusahakan perniagaan kedai menjahit bersama suaminya En. Johnny Vencent. Mereka mempunyai dua orang cahaya mata.

Pn. Rozaline pernah dianugerahkan sebagai Usahawan Harapan oleh Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Sabah.

Mengimbas kembali pengalaman beliau, selepas tamat kursus, beliau terus bekerja dengan sebuah kedai menjahit di Towering Industrial Estate, Penampang dengan hanya bergaji RM300 sebulan.

Pn. Rozaline berkecimpung sepenuhnya dalam perniagaan menjahit apabila diberi peluang untuk mengusahakan sebuah perniagaan menjahit berjenama di Centre Point. Namun apabila perniagaan itu diambil balik oleh pemiliknya, Pn. Rozaline dan suaminya memutuskan untuk membuka sendiri kedai jahit mereka yang dinamakan Globe Tailor yang baru 3 bulan beroperasi di Grand Plaza, Putatan.

Pn. Rozaline yang dibantu oleh adiknya Cik Elizabeth Peter dengan 5 orang pekerja sepenuh masa, berhasrat untuk mengembangkan perniagaannya. Untuk mencapai impian ini beliau memerlukan modal yang besar. Namun demikian, Pn. Rozaline dan suaminya berazam untuk mengatasi cabaran ini sehinggalah tercapai impian mereka. Mereka sedang memikirkan cara yang terbaik untuk mendapat modal yang diperlukan.
