The official mascot and logo of Sabah Games 2009 were unveiled in a simple yet meaningful ceremony at Wisma Muis, Kota Kinabalu by the Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister of Youth and Sports Sabah YB Datuk Peter Pang En Yin on 21 May 2009.
Also present were Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Sabah YB Datuk Jahid Jahim, Permanent Secretary YBhg Encik Michael Emban, Deputy Permanent Secretary II Encik Penyuki Matta, Sabah Sports Board General Manager Encik Mahmud Kalong, Director of Sabah Sports Council Encik Rahman Laman, as well as officers and staff of the Ministry.
